Learning & Serving Around the Globe

Lawrenceville's spring break officially began at noon on Feb. 28, and students have already scattered around the globe on ten School-sponsored trips. Updates and photos have just started arriving in the International Programs office. Here are a few early reports from the field:

Lawrentians Choral Study in Austria
By Director of Music Robert Palmer

Monday began with a visit to the Deutsches Museum in Munich. This is an amazing museum of Technology and Industry, with rich exhibits in chemistry, genetics, and physics, as well as practical applications such as electrical engineering, ship-building, and musical instrument making.

The perfect counterpoint was our afternoon drive through the Bavarian Alps with a stop at a shore resort town on the Chiemsee. We enjoyed a gentle breeze and full sunshine. Some of us even enjoyed the first ice-cream cone of the "spring."

We arrived in Salzburg in time to see sunset over the spires tonight.
